Kim Kardashian Engaged!

I have to admit, I love Kim Kardashian! So, of course, I am thrilled to hear that she is now ENGAGED! Another fabulous wedding we will get to witness - or at least see pictures! Rumor has it that Kim and NBA player Kris Humphries will be tying the knot as soon as this summer!

And how about that ring?! A 16.5 carat, emerald cut center diamond worth an estimated $2 million that Humphries designed with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz! Wow!

Congratulations to the happy couple! And...HAPPY PLANNING!

Bridal Beauty Tips

With summer approaching, wedding season is stepping into high gear. With that, many brides are going to be asking themselves what they should be doing to prepare their minds and bodies for their special day. Here are a few tips that I would recommend!

Treat yourself to a facial! All eyes will be on you, so why not look your very best? Get rid of that dead skin! A facial will exfoliate and hydrate your skin making you glow!

Groom those eyebrows! It can be hard work trying to maintain a nice shape! Several months before your wedding, begin having a professional pluck and shape them. This will give you plenty of time to allow them to grow if needed because, lets face it, we've all over-plucked! By your wedding day, you will have well manicured brows!

Massage! Why not plan for a massage the week of your wedding? You've been busy planning for months and the big day is almost here! Take time for yourself and relax! You deserve it!

Exercise! I know...you've heard this before! Really though, it is a great way to relieve the stress that can be associated with planning a wedding. Take 30 minutes a day for yourself to exercise. Not only will you look amazing, physically, on your wedding day, you will also feel amazing mentally!

Drink lots of water! Stay hydrated with the right fluids!

Reduce your sodium intake! Try cutting salt from your diet a week before your wedding day. Trust me...you will notice a difference!

Wear SPF! You don't want to look like a lobster in your wedding gown. You certainly do not want peeling skin! Take care of your skin!

Mani Pedi! Indulge! Have a professional give you a manicure and pedicure. You'll be showing off your new bling so you'll want your fingernails to look their best! Even if your tootsies will not be making an appearance on your wedding day, they most likely will be making an appearance on your honeymoon! Don't leave them out!

Take care of your hair! Be sure to use the right shampoo, conditioner and product for your hair so that it will look its best on your wedding day. Try to avoid the flat iron and curling iron as much as possible so that you do not cause damage to your locks before the big day. I'm sure you can consult your hair stylist for tips on taking good care of your hairs!

Stay true to yourself! Don't stray from who you are and have always been just because it is your wedding day. A friend of mine told me that for my wedding and I think it's great advice and worth sharing! You want to look like YOU on your wedding day! And who you are is BEAUTIFUL!

Take care of yourselves!

The Importance of Videography

Long time, no blog!

I know I've neglected this for over 2 weeks. I have been so busy! My sister moved, family came into town, turning 30 and a wedding anniversary all in one week. Not to mention...life! I apologize to my Divine Brides!

Today, I celebrate my 2 year wedding anniversary with my amazing husband. I already know and appreciate all that he does for me and his constant support (because we all know life isn't easy without that one in our lives), but an anniversary really makes me appreciate it all that much more.

Since this past weekend has been consumed with celebrating our 30th birthday (meaning my twin and mine's), my husband and I are going to celebrate this upcoming weekend. We did, however, do appetizers and drinks this evening to toast to our 2 year anniversary. I've had plans for weeks to watch our wedding DVD on our anniversary. I could watch it everyday, but I don't. So, when the time came to watch it (anniversary evening)...the hubby said he wanted to finish watching a show on animal nightmares. Awful, I know! So, I took a trip to the basement...just the wedding DVD and I...and put it in the DVD player. I cared that Hubby wasn't with me, but honestly, I knew he'd be down within moments...and he was. I sat on the couch, with the biggest smile on my face, reliving the most memorable day of my life. My husband stood behind me with his hands on my head and shoulder - I knew he was smiling too!

While photography captures a single moment, and it may capture several moments throughout a single event, videography can capture so much more. The emotion that is captured is indescribable. I felt like I was reliving a beautiful event in my life watching it this evening with my husband. It brought back all of the feelings I experienced on my wedding day - the anxiety, anticipation, love and excitement.

To all of the brides out there wondering whether a videographer is worth the investment, I have one word for you.....ABSOLUTELY! I promise you, it will be worth every penny! As the years go by, unfortunately, our memories fade. A DVD will capture your event and enable you to revisit it at any point in time!

For fabulous videographers in the Columbus, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky areas, message me! I'd be happy to share some wonderful companies with you!

XOXO
